Over two days, September 6 and 7, 2024, the second A-PSDE VFDE Nurse Train-the-Trainer Conference was successfully held at Da Nang Hospital, attracting renowned gastrointestinal endoscopy experts from Japan, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.
The conference was organized by Professor Seigo Kitano, President of the Asia-Pacific Society for Digestive Endoscopy (A-PSDE), with the support of Dr. Hồ Đăng Quý Dũng, President of the Vietnam Federation for Digestive Endoscopy (VFDE), along with the local organizing committee, including VFDE and Da Nang Hospital.
Prominent Attendees Included:
- Associate Professor Mizakami Kazuhiro and Assistant Professor Kensuke Fukuda from Oita University, Japan.
- Ms. Nagata Kahori from the Endoscopy Center of Oita University Hospital, Japan.
- Ms. Cassandra My Wong from Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong.
- Mr. Bạch Thanh An, Head Nurse of the Endoscopy Department, Cho Ray Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City.
- Ms. Lê Thị Thuận, Head Nurse of the Gastrointestinal Diseases Treatment Department, Military Hospital 108, Hanoi.
Conference Highlights:
The program combined theoretical sessions with practical demonstrations of ESD (Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection) techniques on patients and practice using models. These activities aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of nurses specializing in gastrointestinal endoscopy.
This event marked a significant step in improving the quality of training for gastrointestinal endoscopy nurses in the Asia-Pacific region. It also strengthened the collaboration between international and Vietnamese experts in this field.
