The workshop welcomed Dr. Masao Hashimoto, a leading expert in respiratory endoscopy from the Department of Respiratory Medicine, National Center for Global Health and Medicine (Japan), along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Anh Tu, Deputy Director of K Hospital, Dr. Bui Anh Tuyet, Head of the Department of Endoscopy and Functional Exploration, and many other specialists from the hospital.

On behalf of the sponsors, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Deputy Director of Lenus Vietnam, and Mr. Ryoji Takahashi, Director of Olympus Vietnam, also attended the event together with company representatives.

Representing K Hospital, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Anh Tu expressed his pleasure in welcoming Dr. Masao Hashimoto to share his expertise and transfer knowledge to the hospital’s medical staff. He also extended his gratitude to Olympus and Lenus Vietnam for their continued support and partnership in training and enhancing the clinical skills of K Hospital’s physicians.

The workshop focused on the EBUS technique – a bronchoscopic method combined with ultrasound imaging to visualize and evaluate peribronchial lesions such as peribronchial masses, hilar or mediastinal lymph nodes, and peripheral lung lesions that are difficult to access with conventional bronchoscopy.

The program also featured in-depth discussions and hands-on practice sessions on Olympus’s advanced endoscopy systems, guided directly by Dr. Masao Hashimoto.

With their advanced and pioneering endoscopic technologies, Olympus systems have been contributing effectively to the diagnosis and intervention of mediastinal lymph nodes and lung tumors, offering opportunities for more effective treatment, higher survival rates, and improved quality of life for patients.
