VNAGE 2025: Convergence of Knowledge and Advanced Technologies in Gastroenterology in Vietnam
Recently, the National Gastroenterology Scientific Conference 2025 (VNAGE 2025), organized by the Vietnam Association of Gastroenterology (VNAGE), was held in Ninh Binh Province. The conference attracted the participation of nearly 1,000 leading gastroenterology experts and physicians from across the country, as well as specialists from Japan, India, and other countries, with the aim of sharing experiences, updating new technical trends, and enhancing clinical practice capacity for doctors in the fields of hepatobiliary gastroenterology and gastrointestinal endoscopy.
The conference opened with a live case session from Ninh Binh Provincial General Hospital, featuring two endoscopy rooms demonstrating interventional techniques (ESD, ERCP/EUS) performed by top experts from Japan, India, and Vietnam. This provided a valuable opportunity for attendees to directly observe the procedures and interact with the experts on-site. Over the two days, the scientific sessions garnered significant attention with key topics including:
- Updates on clinical guidelines and new treatment approaches for gastrointestinal diseases: upper and lower GI disorders.
- Multidisciplinary approaches in the treatment of liver cancer and chronic liver diseases.
- New advances in gastrointestinal endoscopy and diagnostic imaging.
At VNAGE 2025, Olympus continued its role as the Diamond Sponsor of the conference, demonstrating its long-term commitment to improving the quality of diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases in Vietnam. Accompanying Olympus at this event, Lenus Vietnam – the official distributor of Olympus endoscopy equipment – proudly contributed to connecting advanced technological solutions with the medical community, promoting sustainable development in the field of gastroenterology.
Within the framework of the conference, the Olympus-sponsored satellite symposium also attracted strong attendance with topics such as:
- A comprehensive approach to managing complications of upper gastrointestinal ESD, presented by Dr. Kohei Takizawa – Kanagawa Cancer Center, Japan.
- Failure in biliary intervention: What are the next steps? presented by Prof. Praveer Rai.
VNAGE 2025 concluded successfully, delivering profound significance for the gastroenterology specialty in particular and the healthcare sector in general in the mission of caring for the health of the Vietnamese people.
