Lenus Accompanies the International Scientific Conference & the 45th Anniversary of the Respiratory Center, Bach Mai Hospital

27/03/2026

On March 26–27 at Bach Mai Hospital, Lenus Vietnam was honored to participate as a co-sponsor of the International Scientific Conference on the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases, held in conjunction with the 45th Anniversary of the Respiratory Center. The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, Deputy Minister of Health; the Board of Directors of Bach Mai Hospital; generations of physicians from the Respiratory Center; and more than 1,000 national and international delegates and scientists. This occasion not only marked a 45-year milestone of development but also served as a platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and updates on advancements in modern medicine.

Following the opening ceremony, the conference featured four plenary sessions along with multiple specialized symposia. Presentations focused on key topics such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchial asthma, lung cancer, and other chronic conditions, fostering a dynamic, practice-oriented, and academically rich environment.

Notably, during the symposium on Bronchoscopy: Diagnosis and Interventions, Prof. Dr. Masao Hashimoto (Japan Institute for Health Security) delivered an in-depth presentation on Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS). He shared practical implementation experience in mediastinal lymph node evaluation and highlighted the role of EBUS in facilitating personalized treatment approaches. The presentation provided a systematic perspective and proposed directions for appropriate application in the Vietnamese clinical setting.

In addition, the hands-on training session using simulation models for EBUS offered clinicians the opportunity to directly engage with the technique, enhance procedural skills, and standardize practices in accordance with international guidelines. The insightful and practice-oriented contributions from expert speakers helped strengthen professional competencies and further underscored the increasingly important role of interventional bronchoscopy in the diagnosis and management of respiratory diseases.

Through this event, Lenus Vietnam continues to affirm its commitment to partnering with healthcare institutions in disseminating clinical medical knowledge, particularly in the field of interventional endoscopy, with a focus on Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS)—an advanced and essential modality in the diagnosis and therapeutic guidance of respiratory diseases.
