VIGES SAPA 2026 – Spreading Professional Values, Toward Nationwide Standardization of Interventional Gastrointestinal Endoscopy

On July 25, 2026, the 1st Northern Interventional Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Conference – VIGES SAPA 2026 was successfully held under the theme: “Interventional Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in a New Era: From Standardizing Procedures to Advanced Interventions.” The conference brought together over 600 in-person and online delegates, featuring 14 in-depth scientific presentations alongside live case sessions, creating a highly practical academic forum for the gastrointestinal endoscopy community.

Accompanying the event, Lenus Vietnam, in collaboration with Olympus Vietnam, introduced advanced endoscopic solutions, highlighted by the PCF colonoscope series and the 1200 series magnifying scopes. These solutions enhance visualization quality, improve early lesion detection, and meet the increasingly stringent demands of modern diagnostic and interventional endoscopic procedures.

With 14 scientific reports, the conference updated several prominent trends in the field, ranging from the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in early gastrointestinal cancer detection to advanced techniques such as ESD, EMR, EUS, ERCP, and management strategies for biliopancreatic diseases. Notably, the live case demonstrations on ESD/EMR and EUS-FNA offered attendees the opportunity to observe practical execution and directly exchange insights with leading experts.

Aiming to bridge professional gaps and expand access to advanced endoscopic techniques across different regions, VIGES SAPA 2026 contributes to disseminating knowledge, driving the standardization of clinical practice, and building a foundation for the balanced development of gastrointestinal endoscopy in Vietnam.
